The Philippines Affiliate of ISPE was formed on 10 October 2008 by a group of committed professionals (pharmacists, chemists, engineers) from the pharmaceutical industry, national regulatory authority and the academe who felt the need of providing quality training and seminars that will help address the current issues faced by the industry. For more than a decade, the Affiliate has conducted several trainings, seminars and workshops for the pharmaceutical industry, the Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as well as for young professionals and students.
The ISPE Philippines Affiliate is also an accredited provider of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) by the Professional Regulation Commission’s CPD Council for Pharmacy, enabling pharmacists who participate in accredited ISPE trainings to earn CPD units. In 2015, the Affiliate’s Young Professionals Committee (YPC) now known as Emerging Leaders (EL) which is aligned with that of ISPE Headquarters was formed to create a welcoming and comfortable environment at all levels within the Society for “young professionals” (who has just graduated from College within the last 5 years) to have unrestricted opportunities to network with peers, mentors and other professionals; gain fundamental and advanced knowledge about the industry and their area of professional interest; and grow their skills as needed to become successful industry professionals and future ISPE leaders.
15 Years of ISPE® in the Philippines
Once again, ISPE Philippines Affiliate in celebration of its
15th year anniversary will be hosting its anniversary conference and exhibition with the theme “Enabling Multi-Sectoral Collaboration Towards Innovation and Sustainability” from 14 – 15 June 2023 at Conrad Manila, Seaside Boulevard, Coral Way, Pasay City, Philippines.
Pre-conference activities are scheduled on 13th June 2023 with the Philippines Affiliate hosting of the Asia Pacific (APAC) Council Meeting to be attended by ISPE APAC leaders and International Board from USA.
